Some ways to help follow the eating technique include:
Have a 20 pence piece by the side of your plate - to help visualise how small to do the mouthfuls.
Limit distractions at mealtimes.
Don’t leave long gaps in between your meals (it can be harder to slow down your eating if you are really hungry).
Use an app to help e.g., bariatric meal timer or eat slower.
Rest your cutlery on your plate between mouthfuls.
Use smaller cutlery.
