Your BMI (Body Mass Index) is a way of working out how overweight you are and can give you an indication of how much weight you need to lose to get to the healthy weight category. It is measure of body fat based on height and weight.
It should be used as a general guide, and it doesn’t consider the difference between fat and muscle so someone with a higher muscle mass like an athlete could potentially fall into the overweight category. So, a normal BMI isn’t the be all and end all, but it is a good guide to aim for:
